VERB  <=  ПАДЕЖ №1

\\\\\\\
\

When we say a verb we always check it against the noun (pronoun) in the form of Nominative case regardless its meaning.

\\\\\\\

For instance in the very special Russian model denoting possession “у кого (№2) есть что (№1)” Subject takes the form of Genitive case (падеж №2) and Object of possession is in Nominative (падеж №1). So, in our example the Subject is “Антон” and it’s masculine, Genitive (он, падеж №2), the Object is “виза” and it’s feminine, Nominative (она, падеж №1). In this case we use the verb in the form of feminine (была) checking it against the word “виза” and not “Антон” because “виза” is Nominative and it doesn’t matter that it’s an Object.
